Who we are looking for: You have a heart for supporting youth
healing and a passion for working with all things equine. You are
self-motivated, don't mind getting your hands dirty, and embrace hard work.
You are reliable and take pride in the satisfaction of a job well done. |
What will you be doing: ·
Assist in
cleaning and maintaining animal facilities, including stalls, barns, and
arena. ·
Assist in
returning horses to their stalls or pasture. ·
Maintain
clean and usable pastures. ·
Support
outdoor tasks like chopping, raking, and other beautification projects. ·
Aid in
feeding horses, turnouts, and stall management. ·
Assist
with horse care and related tasks.

Why is this job needed/important: The Idaho Youth Ranch is one of the
oldest non-profit agencies in Idaho, and our volunteers are integral to
advancing our mission. We unite for Idaho’s youth by providing accessible
programs and services that nurture hope, healing, and resilience. Equine
therapy plays a vital role in this process, offering profound benefits to the
youth we serve. By caring for our horses and supporting their well-being, you
contribute to the success of these transformative programs, helping to create
a positive impact in their lives. |

Where: Hands of Promise Arena- 28371 El Paso Rd,
Caldwell, ID 83607 (most work is outside, or in the barn/arena area) |
Availability: ·
Weekly (Monday – Sunday, (9am - 5pm) ·
2–4-hour shifts ·
1-5x a week
(depending on volunteer’s schedule) ·
*Preferred
commitment of 6 months
or more due to training and understanding of routines |
