Position Description

Reports to: Lead Equine Specialist

Who we are looking for: You have a heart for supporting youth healing and a passion for working with all things equine. You are self-motivated, don't mind getting your hands dirty, and embrace hard work. You are reliable and take pride in the satisfaction of a job well done.

What will you be doing:

· Assist in cleaning and maintaining animal facilities, including stalls, barns, and arena.

· Assist in returning horses to their stalls or pasture.

· Maintain clean and usable pastures.

· Support outdoor tasks like chopping, raking, and other beautification projects.

· Aid in feeding horses, turnouts, and stall management.

· Assist with horse care and related tasks.

By caring for our horses and supporting their well-being, you contribute to the success of these transformative programs, helping to create a positive impact in their lives.

Where: Hands of Promise Arena- 28371 El Paso Rd, Caldwell, ID 83607 (most work is outside, or in the barn/arena area)

Availability:

· Weekly (Monday – Sunday, (9am - 5pm)

· 2–4-hour shifts

· 1-5x a week (depending on volunteer’s schedule)

· *Preferred commitment of 6 months or more due to training and understanding of routines

· Be at least 18 years old.

· Submit to a general criminal background check.

· Complete interview

· Comply with all Idaho Youth Ranch Volunteer Policies and Procedures
